Sourcing & halal
Halal by hand. Named, not implied.
Every animal is slaughtered by hand by a Muslim slaughterman with the tasmiyah recited, at a CFIA-licensed facility. Our certifier inspects the plant and our shop without notice. The certificate hangs by the till and is linked here.

Ontario farms. Beef and lamb from family farms in Wellington and Grey counties; goat from Ontario and Quebec; air-chilled chicken from Ontario.

Zabiha, by hand. Hand-slaughtered, one animal at a time, with the name of Allah recited on each.

Garlic & thyme lamb chops
Salt an hour ahead, sear hard, rest four minutes. Serves 3.

Bulk & Eid orders
Qurbani, handled properly.
Reserve a whole animal or a share for Eid al-Adha. We slaughter after Eid prayer on your behalf, cut it the way you ask, and can split it into thirds for family, friends and those in need. Also: weddings, aqiqah and restaurant accounts.
Eid al-Adha 2027 is expected in mid-May, subject to moon sighting. Shares are limited and taken in order. $100 deposit per animal, refundable until 30 days before.

Good to know
Why do you price by the kilogram?
Because every cut is weighed after cutting. You see the price per kg before you order, we charge the packed weight, and the label on each pack shows both. That's how federal labelling rules expect random-weight meat to be sold.
What's the minimum order?
$60 for delivery, no minimum for pickup. Delivery is free over $150 in every zone.
What if I miss the 2 pm cut-off?
Pick tomorrow's slot, or choose pickup: the counter can usually cut and pack within two hours until 6 pm.
Is there HST?
Fresh meat is a zero-rated basic grocery, so no HST on the meat. HST is charged on delivery fees.
Can I freeze what I order?
Yes. Everything is vacuum-sealed, so it freezes well for up to six months. Thaw in the fridge, not on the counter.
