Questions people ask first.
Is the 20-minute call really free?
Yes. It's a conversation about whether you need a lawyer and what it would involve. We'll only give legal advice once there's a signed engagement letter.
Why do you need the other party's name?
Lawyers in Ontario can't act against a current or former client in a related matter. Checking the name first protects your confidential information.
What's included in a fixed fee?
Everything listed in your engagement letter for that matter. If something falls outside it, we tell you before doing the work and agree the cost in writing.
Can I sign everything remotely?
Most documents, yes, by secure video with ID verification. Some lenders require in-person signing; we'll tell you early if yours does.
Do you offer Legal Aid?
We don't currently accept Legal Aid Ontario certificates. If you may qualify, we'll point you to Legal Aid Ontario or a community legal clinic.
